  • Eat together - critical to team norming routine. Aids understanding, sharing, collaboration, bonding; enhances performance. 

  • Effective meeting - organized around an agenda, ground rules, review of previous meeting, review of attendees list, manage non critical items in "parking lot," make notations and link to prewired notes, create listening maps, facilitate feedback and follow-ups.

  • Elaboration - make more detailed, add value to design, product or process.

  • Emergence - process relating to prominent achievement, materialization of one's or teams' aspirations.

  • Empirical - mostly observed improvement, to seek verification often based on theoretical proof of concept.

  • Enterprise - initiative seeking solutions for commercial, business challenges, risks or crisis.

  • Enterprise Architect - adopted from orthodox design practitioners, as in person within the practice of envisioning and communicating via design the enabling infrastructure for enterprise (internal and external) solutions.  

  • Enterprise Architecture - envisioned and communicated enablement of development operations infrastructure for strategic analysis, design, planning, execution, and management of enterprise solutions.   

  • Epic - placeholder, large user story, vast in scope, long range vision lacking clear details for immediate implementation.

  • Epic Owner - one responsible for an Epic, consequently a value implementation decision at creation, define through release.

  • Estimation - team exercise to predict effort or time required till defined stories (epics, themes, features) are complete.  

  • Extreme programming - constitutes its five Agile Principles, proffers early and consistent release of software with allied practices; continuous integration, collective code ownership, aggressive refactoring, coding convention, metaphor, pair programming, test driven development.
