Kanban - Japanese word meaning sign board adopted in Agile practice to promote use of visual aide, limiting WIP, expedition of business value, also called information radiator for work flow organization, planning, implementation and socialization.
Kaizen - Japanese expression for one of the pillars of the House of Lean meaning Continuous Improvement.
Kano Model - Noriaki Kano (1980) Japanese researcher, modeled Kano analysis as a set of techniques and ideas to help determine users' perception, satisfaction with product features in product backlog items. Kano analysis derives from questionnaire on features, asking functional ("How would you feel if the feature is added?") and dysfunctional ("How would you feel if the feature were not added?"). Kano analysis classifies a feature from the users' answers as mandatory (has to be in the product), linear (customer satisfaction will be linear with increases in quantity or quality of the feature), or exciter/delighter (high customer satisfaction as customers discover invaluable use in this feature). Kano model analysis can be used to determine the level of investment to make in each product backlog item and therefore is a technique that can be used to help prioritize product backlog items.
